Terms of Service

Craft Yield is a browser-based tool for solo makers and small-batch sellers to record material, packaging and direct costs along with actual batch counts (good, sample, rework, scrap and mid-production losses) and calculate the cost per sellable good unit and the next batch quantity range. The service is in beta, operated by BSW Beta Lab. These terms are an unreviewed draft.

1. Scope and nature of the tool

• The tool runs in your browser from static files. Product names, material/packaging/direct costs, loss reasons, unit counts and leftover carry-over records stay in your browser's local storage (localStorage) and are not sent to our servers.
• Results are calculations under the costs and counts you entered. The tool does not set selling prices, guarantee profit or prevent losses, and does not replace accounting, tax filing or physical inventory counts. Pricing and production decisions, and their outcomes, are yours.
• No storefront integration, account sync or automatic tax filing is provided.

2. Pricing and payment

• Free: you can save up to 3 products and 10 batches. Good-unit cost calculation, next-batch suggestions, spreadsheet export (CSV), data file export (JSON), backup and restore are available without extra charge. Printable sheets carry a free-version mark.
• Pro: a one-time payment of $19 (USD; a draft price, not yet market-tested). You can save up to 200 products and 500 batches and the free-version mark on printable sheets is removed. There is no subscription or ongoing fee.
• Payment is handled by Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record, which also calculates taxes. This tool does not collect card details or payment passwords.

3. License

After payment a license key is emailed to you. One key can be used on up to 3 devices (browsers); deactivating on one device frees a slot. Do not share or transfer your key. If a key is refunded or disabled, Pro turns off; your saved records are not deleted and can still be downloaded, but new saves beyond the free limits are not possible.

4. Refunds

Refund requests within 14 days of payment are refunded in full. Contact us at the address below or use the order confirmation email from Lemon Squeezy. A refunded license key is deactivated.

5. Your responsibilities

• You enter and verify the products, costs, losses and unit counts. Keep backup files containing confidential supplier or cost figures in a safe place. Do not enter personal data such as names, ID numbers, phone numbers, addresses or bank accounts.
• If entered costs or counts differ from reality, the calculated unit cost and next-batch suggestion will also differ.

6. Data and backups

All data lives only in your browser's storage (localStorage), so clearing browser data or losing a device can erase it. Download a full backup file regularly. We do not hold your data and cannot recover it. When you restore a backup, the tool checks the file format, recalculates count-conservation, unit-cost and carry-over invariants, and checks the checksum stored in the file. This checksum is not tamper protection; it only detects accidental file damage or mismatched formats.

7. Limitation of liability

The beta is provided as is. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid; responsibility for production and pricing decisions and any resulting losses is yours.

8. Changes and termination

Features, pricing and these terms may change. We will not unfairly reduce the benefits of a perpetual license you already bought. If the service ends we will announce it on the site first. Backup files you downloaded remain yours.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.
